Legal and Regulatory Affairs Specialist

A Strategic and Dynamic Key Role!
We are currently seeking a Legal and Regulatory Affairs Specialist who will be responsible for drafting our legal documents, primarily client agreements, and supporting the teams in understanding current and upcoming regulations.

Your Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and review client agreements
- Support management in negotiating client agreements
- Conduct regulatory monitoring of extended producer responsibility
- Provide advice on the interpretation of regulations to compliance teams
- Communicate with agencies to assist in understanding regulations
- Actively participate in the company’s social and environmental initiatives
- Be part of a B Corp subcommittee to ensure our social and environmental performance
- Work closely with the B Corp committee to ensure the continuous improvement of its department in social and environmental responsibility
- Contribute ideas and involvement to the company’s sustainable development
- Collaborate in defining social and environmental objectives to reduce our impact.
To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Studies in law or a related field
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Excellent proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Canadian extended producer responsibility schemes is a plus
- Bar membership is an asset

- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to negotiate contractual terms
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of the law
